Two fire engines, a water carrier and height vehicle are fighting a chimney fire at a hotel and pub in Lamberhurst.
Crews are using specialist chimney access equipment and thermal imaging cameras to view the damage to the stack, with a specialist ventilation fan used to drive smoke and fumes out.
The height vehicle is being used to keep an eye on the fire and damp down hot spots.
A local road closure is in place, and motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible. There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
