An unemployed, homeless man was found dead in the corridor of a block of flats after using heroin, an inquest heard.

A single needle mark was found on the 25-year-old's arm and no other previous markings were found, indicating he may have been a first time user, the court heard.

At the hearing held on Thursday, north west Kent coroner Roger Hatch said the level of morphine found in Mr Boros' blood was fatal and usually found in new or returning users.

He said the needle mark found was rough and indicated signs of inexperience and alcohol presence - further reinforcing the understanding this was Mr Boros' first time using the drug.

"He has been known to sleep rough in Tunbridge Wells and look for food in the area" - Dt Sgt Jason Booth

Det Sgt Jason Booth who attended the scene said the body was found by someone living in the block of flats.

He added: "There were no links between Mr Boros and the address. He came to England from Poland but it is not known when he travelled here.

"He has been known to sleep rough in Tunbridge Wells and look for food in the area. He has previous history for petty theft and drug posession.

"After investigation we established that no third party was involved in the death of this man. If he had been placed his clothes had not been disturbed and there were no skuff marks on the walls.

"It was concluded he died of a heroin overdose but we do not know how he got the drug."

Mr Hatch recorded the cause of death as drugs related at Gravesend Old Town Hall.
