A man was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash involving his motorcycle and a van.

The victim's black Yamaha motorcycle collided with a white Vauxhall panel van on the B2169 near Hook Green, Tunbridge Wells at around 11.55am Sunday.

A police spokesman said he was from the Biggin Hill area but no further details have yet been released.

The driver of the van suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed at the junction with Furnace Lane, Clayhill Road and Bayham Road while emergency services dealt with the incident. It reopened at around 5pm.
