Driver taken to hospital after car smashes into lamppost on the A21 in Lamberhurst near Tunbridge Wells

Motorists are being told to be that extra bit careful due to changing weather conditions after a car crashed into a lamppost.

Police made the warning after a vehicle ended up in the wrong direction as a result of the smash yesterday morning.

It happened in Lamberhurst in Tunbridge Wells at around 8.30am.

A tweet from one of the force’s accounts said: “With the time of year and the changing weather, please be mindful to drive to the conditions.”

A police spokesman added: “Kent Police was called on Sunday, October 22, to a report a car had struck a lamppost on the A21 near Lamberhurst.

“Officers and paramedics attended the scene where the driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
