Rubbish fire spreads to garden shed in Tunbridge Wells

A rubbish fire got out of control and spread to set a garden shed alight.

Fire crews were called to Culverden Down in Tunbridge Wells at around 3.30pm today after several calls about a fire in a back garden.

They discovered a small area of garden rubbish alight, which had spread to a garden shed and its contents.

It also damaged the rendering of a garden wall and destroyed a wooden gate. The radiated heat also damaged a double glazed side window of property.


Crews used a hose reel to put the fire out and a thermal imaging camera to check for fire spread.
