London teen charged after cocaine bust in Tunbridge Wells

An estimated 100 wraps of cocaine have been seized after a suspicious car was stopped by officers in Tunbridge Wells.

Police from the town's Community Policing Team stopped the vehicle in London Road on Monday night.

While carrying out a search officers found 18 wraps of Class A drugs as well as £705 in cash.

An address linked to the driver was also searched where a further 82 wraps were seized.

Ionut Stoica ,of Eltham High Street, Eltham, London, was arrested and later charged with possessing cocaine with intent to supply and with possession or control of identity documents with intent.

The 18-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday where he was remanded in custody.

He will appear next at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, November 20.
