Teenager assaulted with weapon in Halls Hole Road, near the junction with Forest Road, Tunbridge Wells

A teenager received hospital treatment for back wounds after being assaulted with a weapon in Tunbridge Wells.

A man and a 17-year-old boy were sitting in a white Fiat Doblo van parked in a layby in Halls Hole Road, near the junction with Forest Road, at 8.20pm on May 21.

A hatchback car pulled in front of them and one of the occupants is alleged to have got out and assaulted the teenager with a weapon through the Fiat's open passenger-side window.

The victim attended hospital where he received treatment to two wounds on his back.

Officers are now appealing for more information.

The suspect, who is described as having a face covering, returned to the vehicle which left the scene towards Pembury Road. This vehicle is thought to have been blue with tinted windows.

Investigating officer, PC Ash Pennell said: "We have been completing forensic examinations and local enquiries, including the review of available CCTV footage, and are now appealing for anyone with information to contact us."
