Voluntary Action Within Kent, based in Monson Road Tunbridge Wells, receives £1,000 grant from Cornwallis East Kent Freemason’s Charity

A service that supports volunteers across Kent received a £1,000 grant earlier this month.

Voluntary Action Within Kent, otherwise known as VAWK, received the money at the launch of the new Cornwallis East Kent Freemason’s Charity.

The Tunbridge Wells based charity, which has an office in Monson Road, will use the money to support children and young people who care for family members.

It was one charity to benefit from a kitty of £19,000 on Saturday, November 8 - days after the Cornwallis East Kent Freemason’s Charity was formed.

It is based in Estuary View, Whitstable, and is the meger of three masonic charities.
