Woman arrested on suspicion of assaulting paramedic at Tunbridge Wells railway station

A woman has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a paramedic who was trying to treat her.

Emergency services were called to Tunbridge Wells railway station last night after the woman was found unresponsive.

When paramedics attempted to treat her, officers say she lashed out towards them and hit one in the face.

The British Transport Police said: “The paramedic only has a scratch and no lasting injuries, thankfully due to Southeastern Railway staff getting involved who helped restrain the female until police arrived.

“She will remain in custody to be interviewed later this morning.”

Police have been contacted for more information.
