A police investigation has been launched into how a car left the road and ploughed into a ditch.

Officers were called to Headcorn with reports of a black BMW had left the A274.

Paramedics also attended around 1.42pm on Saturday, and minor injuries were reported.

It is understood another driver had to swerve to avoid the BMW, and that at the time of this near-miss the car was on the wrong side of the road.

But police say enquiries are ongoing. The investigation is looking at the circumstances before the car left the road.
