Police chase after theft from Lamberhurst Golf Club leads to arrests

Three men have been arrested and a staff member was taken to hospital following a theft from a golf club.

Two suspects are said to have stolen a quantity of golf clubs from Lamberhurst Golf Club.

A member of staff sustained a head injury while attempting to apprehend one of the men, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The suspects left the area just after 2.20pm on Sunday but a pursuit was authorised after a suspicious vehicle was seen travelling in the A21 area.

A chase ended when the vehicle came to a stop on the M25, near junction 2 at Dartford, and three people were arrested.

A 31-year-old man from Swanscombe and a 32-year-old man from Sidcup were both bailed until Tuesday September 11.

Another 32-year-old man from Sidcup was still in custody today as inquiries continue.
