They ordered the driver to stop, but reported he failed to do so, and instead set off allegedly driving dangerously through the rural roads with police in pursuit.

The crash saw the vehicle come to a halt in Spelmonden Road, Horsmonden, when the occupants immediately made off on foot.

With assistance from a police helicopter, officers were able to arrest two men and a teenage boy who were taken into custody.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the vehicle being driven dangerously through the Weald.

PC Paul Otter said: "Drivers in Staplehurst, Marden and Horsmonden may have seen the silver Honda travelling at speed through these villages. We are urging motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV to check for footage that may assist our investigation.’
