Crack cocaine and cannabis seized from property in The Ridings, Chestfield

Crack cocaine and a large quantity of cannabis have been seized by police following a drugs warrant.

Officers from the Canterbury Community Policing Team carried out the warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, at a property in The Ridings, Chestfield, near Whitstable, yesterday.

They also found drugs paraphernalia as well as nitrous oxide cannisters.

A 22-year-old man from Herne Bay was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and taken in to custody.

He was later bailed to return to a police station on Saturday, June 13.

Inspector Guy Thompson said: "We continue to target those who are dealing drugs in all parts of the district.

"We work with the community and our partners to tackle drug dealing and associated criminality which can affect the quality of life of residents and bring anti-social behaviour to where they live."
