Police hunt two men after man attacked as he walked towards Whitstable at 3am

A man suffered facial injuries after a late-night assault near Whitstable.

The 21-year-old victim was set upon by two men he walked along the A290 between the Clapham Hill and Long Reach roundabouts at 3am on Saturday. He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

The first suspect is said to be of mixed race, with dark hair, a London accent and wearing a hoody. The second suspect is a white man in his mid-20s, unshaven and also wearing a hoody.

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault to come forward.
