Gas cylinder thefts spark police warning in Whitstable and Herne Bay

Business owners have been told to be on their guard after a number of gas cylinders were stolen in Whitstable and Herne Bay.

Thieves targeted a caravan park in Faversham Road, Seasalter, between 12pm on Wednesday, February 1 and 10am on Monday, February 6.

A similar incident was reported at a caravan park in Herne Common between 3.30pm on Friday, February 3 and 8.30am on Saturday, February 4.

Then, between 11pm on Tuesday, February 7 and 10am on Wednesday, February 8, bosses at a garage on the Thanet Way near Chestfield also reported cylinders were stolen.

Anyone with information about the thefts is urged to contact police on 01843 222289, quoting crime reference number ZY/4515/17.
