Tesco assault sparks two arrests in Whitstable

A man and woman were arrested following reports of an altercation at the Tesco Extra in Whitstable.

Police were called to the supermarket and took the pair into custody on suspicion of assault.

It was alleged they had attacked a man and woman at the store in Millstrood Road.

The 54-year-old man was cautioned by police and the 48-year-old woman was released without charge.

Police were unable to provide details of any injuries to the victims following the incident shortly after 11.30am on Sunday.
