Picture special from the Saxon Shore Half Marathon

Runners had it all to do at the Saxon Shore Half Marathon on the hottest day of the year.

A challenging seaside course between Whitstable and Herne Bay - complete with an uphill finish - provided a stern test.

Top three men: 1st Cole Gibbens 1:16.27, 2nd Trevor Kay 1:21.49, 3rd Jack Bradley 1:23.09.

Top three women: 1st Abigail Cardwell 1:31.19, 2nd Robin Norton-Hale 1:32.59, 3rd Emma Stockley 1:41.21.
