Three people arrested after man stabbed in Willesborough in Ashford at New Year party

Three people have been arrested after a man in his 20s suffered multiple stab wounds in a fight believed to have broken out at a New Year party.

The air ambulance was called to Canterbury Road in Willesborough, Ashford, at 2am yesterday after a disagreement is thought to have spilled out into the street.

The victim was taken by land ambulance to King's College Hospital in London, where he remains in a stable condition.

Police taped off the area until 11.30am yesterday and officers could be seen with evidence bags at the scene.

A 21-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man from Ashford were arrested in connection with the assault.

They have subsequently been released pending further investigation.

Another man, aged 22, also from Ashford, was arrested today and remains in police custody.

Detectives continue to carry out inquiries in the area and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
