Lockdown 2: People enjoy last night of freedom in Canterbury

With Lockdown 2 beginning across the country today, people were out enjoying their "last night of freedom" yesterday evening.

Pictures taken in Canterbury show revellers filling the city's pubs, while others grabbed their final chance to eat a meal in a restaurant.

Shoppers were seen queuing outside "non-essential" stores in Whitefriars, which are now shut until December 2.

Nail salons were also busy with customers, as the pictures taken by photographer Jo Court show.

Others took the opportunity to get a haircut - perhaps hoping to avoid some of the disastrous lockdown locks we saw across Kent in the spring.
