If successful, the eatery would replace the now-closed Dave's Corner Shop in Woodside Drive, Wilmington, near Dartford.

The store shut in February this year and has remained vacant ever since.

It was part of the Birchwood Parade of shops, which still includes a launderette, pharmacy, barber shop and butchers.

Should the proposal be approved, the cafe would be open from 8.30am to 5.30pm on Monday to Fridays.

It would also welcome customers on Saturdays from 9am until 1pm.
