A fire broke out in an industrial estate last night after a machine caught fire.
Two fire engines were called to Riverside Industrial Estate at 11.50pm yesterday when unsuitable material was processed by a recycling compacter machine.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said that material that was "just too hot" and sparked flames in the debris.
Crews were at the scene for almost two hours.
No one was injured and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
