Nicky Forster doesn't want Dover Athletic to lose ground in Blue Square Bet South and end up playing catch-up

Dover Athletic manager Nicky Forster wants to keep his side's momentum going with back-to-back league wins which would keep Whites in touch with the Blue Square Bet South front-runners.

Whites have won three and drawn one of Forster's four games in charge - the victories all in cup games - with Saturday's 3-1 win over Wroxham booking an FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie with Bath City on October 29.

However, Forster (pictured) is keen to take league points from Saturday's visit of struggling Thurrock and Tuesday's trip to Kent rivals Bromley to avoid Dover falling behind the pace amid their cup run.

He said: "We have a big game coming up against Bath but we have got two vital league games before then."

Three points on Saturday could return Dover to the top eight, while back-to-back wins would firmly restore them to the play-off race.

However, if they beat Blue Square Bet Premier Bath, Dover could have as many as three games in hand over other sides in the promotion race.

Forster said: "We don't want to be games behind and playing catch-up. We want to put points on the board now."

Do you think Whites can collect six points from their next two games? Have your say below.
