Police appeal for information after post office robbery in St Margaret's

Police are appealing for witnesses after a Post Office robbery in St Margaret's this morning.

It was reported that a man stole a quantity of cash from the Post Office in the High Street at 10.54am, before running away along Reach Road and into a car park.

The man is described as 25 to 30-years-old, six foot tall, with a fair complexion, slim build and possibly with fair hair.

It is reported he was wearing a grey hooded top, jeans or jogging bottoms and trainers.

It is said that he was wearing a hat and glasses when he entered the post office but left these at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Gary Stamp, who is investigating, said: "Whilst nobody was reported as being injured during the robbery, this was a shocking experience for the staff. We would be keen speak to anybody in the area who witnessed anything or has any information that may help us with our enquiries."
