Boy charged over horses in fire tragedy

A TEENAGER has been accused of arson following a blaze at a barn in which four horses were killed.

The tragedy happened on December 5 last year at Kittingdon Farm, Nonington, near Dover.

The 16-year-old, who lives at Elvington, near Dover, has also been charged with four counts of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal. He is due to appear before Folkestone Youth Court on Tuesday, April 10.

Four youths were arrested in connection with the investigation. Three of them, two aged 16 and one aged 15, were released without charge.
