British Transport Police arrested the 45-year-old on arrival who was even spotted wearing one of the café's fleeces.

He is then said to have spat at an arresting officer and racially abused others attending the scene.

Washington, of no fixed address, appeared at Canterbury Crown Court on Monday where he pleaded guilty to the burglary.

He also admitted the racially aggravated assault of an officer and two counts of using threatening behaviour to two other officers during arrest.

Washington was sentenced to 19 months in prison.
