Quantity of cash stolen from man's wallet in New Street, Dover

Around £140 was taken from a man's wallet in New Street last night.

The incident took place just after 8.45pm after the man is believed to have used a cash machine.

One resident - whose husband found the man mugged and assaulted - has warned people to be careful.

The police are now investigating the incident, and say inquiries are ongoing.
