A man from Dover has been arrested after he approached a man in Tower Hamlets Road carrying a meat cleaver.

A man from Dover has been arrested after approaching another man in Tower Hamlets Road holding a meat cleaver.

Kent Police was called at 6am on Saturday, January 10. No threats were reported.

Andrew Townsend, 33, of Devonshire Road in Dover, was arrested and charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

He has been bailed to appear at court on January 22.
