Drivers help police inquiry

Kent Police have carried out road checks exactly a week after Eurotunnel worker Michael Pritchard, 49, from Park Avenue in Dover, was killed after a crash.

Officers spoke to motorists between 4.30-5.30pm in the area of the children’s playground in Princess Parade, Hythe, to encourage witnesses to come forward and to gather more information to help the investigation.

Kent Police were called last Saturday, November 22, at about 5pm to a road traffic collision in Princess Parade where Mr Pritchard was injured. It is believed he was struck by a vehicle. He was taken to William Harvey Hospital where he died of his injuries.
