P&O and DFDS suspend Dover to Calais ferry services due to industrial action

Ferries from Kent to France are being suspended.

Operators DFDS and P&O Ferries have been forced to cancel a number of crossings from Dover due to strikes across the Channel.

P&O Ferries have announced that all services between 8am and 5pm tomorrow will be cancelled while industrial action takes place in Calais, France.

Sailing's are set to resume after 5pm, but travellers have been warned expect some disruption to the schedule.

P&O Ferries have said online that "our services are running with severe disruption" and "Please allow plenty of time before your scheduled sailing."

Similarly, DFDS has warned that its services between Dover and Calais will be disrupted.

DFDS have ensured that affected passengers will be contacted directly with travel arrangements.

Ferries were also suspended earlier this year due to strikes in France which caused severe disruption in the port.
