Lorry driver Gordon Terry, 48, has been jailed for five and a half years at Canterbury Crown Court for the importation of 200.25 kilos of cannabis through Dover a year ago.

Terry, who lives in Magenta, Italy, had previously pleaded guilty to being knowingly concerned in the importation of cannabis.

His lorry was intercepted at Dover’s Eastern Docks on July 28, 2007, by customs officers who searched the vehicle and found the cannabis hidden in two large and one small box.
