A teenage girl has died after being hit by a car while crossing a road.
The 13-year-old was attempting to cross the A256 Whitfield Hill near Dover at around 7.40pm yesterday when she was struck by a blue Vauxhall Astra.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage which might assist their enquiries."
