Train services had to be diverted following a landslide.
Southeastern confirmed a large amount of rocks had fallen on the tracks between Ramsgate and Dover Priory stations.
It happened just before 1.30pm, blocking the line just south of Martin Mill station.
Trains that normally ran from Ramsgate to Dover were diverted via Canterbury West, but those going from Dover to Ramsgate were running as normal.
Replacement buses were arranged.
By 2pm today the rail operator confirmed that all lines had reopened.
The company said: "Train services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised as normal service resumes.
"Disruption is expected until 15:00.
"We were advised of a large amount of chalk falling on to the tracks between Ramsgate and Dover earlier this afternoon.
"Network Rail have cleared the chalk and lines have now re-opened."
Replacement buses between Ramsgate and Dover were available from 2pm.
