Man stabbed in early morning attack in Leighton Road, Dover

Police are investigating a report that a man has been stabbed.

Officers were this morning called to an address in Leighton Road, Dover, where the alleged assault happened.

They received the call at 6.18am.

A police spokesman said: "Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service went to the scene where a man was treated for injuries consistent with stab wounds.

"He was taken to a local hospital for medical attention.

"Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are on-going."

Officers would like to interview a man wearing a dark hooded-top and jogging bottoms who was seen in the area.
