Case of man's death at Langdon Cliffs, Dover, police, ambulance service and coastguards called out

An investigation has been launched after a man died at a cliffs area.

Emergency services were first called to reports of a man injured at Langdon Cliffs, Dover.

But the victim was found and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police had been called out yesterday along with the the ambulance service, the Kent Air Ambulance and coastguard rescue teams.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police were called to Langdon Cliffs to concerns for a man who had sustained injuries.

" Officers attended along with the South East Coast Ambulance Service, HM Coastguard and the Kent Air Ambulance.

"The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner."

A HM Coastguard spokesman said: "Just before 12.15pm yesterday Kent Police requested HM Coastguard assistance at an incident at Langdon Cliffs.

"Coastguard Rescue teams from Deal, Langdon and Folkestone were sent to the scene."
