Five men targeted the Shell garage in Guston on Tuesday morning stealing cash, food and cigarettes

An appeal has been launched for witnesses following a burglary at the Shell Garage in Guston on the A2.

At some time between 12am and 1am on Monday (yesterday), a white van stopped at the garage and five people broke into the premises which had closed for the night.

Once inside they stole a safe containing a quantity of money as well as items from inside the shop including food and cigarettes.

They then left the scene in the white van.

Officers investigating the burglary are keen to hear from anyone who may have information about the offence. They would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have been in the Guston area or who may have seen a white van at the time.
