Police to take no further action over Eythorne harassment claims

Police have fully investigated claims of a woman being harassed in Eythorne and found no crime has been committed.

KentOnline reported earlier this month that officers were “looking into issues of anti-social riding of e-scooters on a bridlepath” in the village near Dover.

In response, officers from the Dover Neighbourhood Policing Team were set to carry out high-visibility patrols in the area.

Police also said they were investigating reports "a teenage boy rode a bicycle towards a woman”.

A spokesman added: “It was also reported that a person shouted through the woman’s window later on the same day."

But the force now says the allegations have been fully investigated and filed and no further action will be taken.

A parent who lives in the village said: “I think this was just a bit of a misunderstanding as one of the children lives down that road.”
