Raiders try to steal cash machine with pick-up truck at Co-op in River, Dover

Raiders allegedly tried to drag a cash machine out of a shop using a pick-up truck.

A group of men are thought to have caused damage to the front window and security shutters of the Co-operative store near Dover before attempting to drag the cash machine out at 2.19am this morning.

A police helicopter was then used to try to hunt them down after they left the shop on Lower Road in River empty handed.

Officers attended and carried out a search of the local area with assistance from the National Police Air Service helicopter but no suspects were located.
