Warnings of ferry delays on Dover-Calais route because of bad weather

There are warnings of delays of up to an hour on all three of cross-Channel ferry operators because of bad weather.

Passengers are being advised to check for updates with the companies thy are sailing with.

A spokesman for DFDS said this afternoon: "Dover-Calais and Dover-Dunkirk sailings for DFDS today are currently subject to 60 minute delays due to the strong winds.

"All passengers are advised to check in as usual and they will be accommodated on the next available sailing. "

P&O Ferries this morning tweeted times of holdups of sailings from Dover, for instance one ferry scheduled to leave at 12.10pm expected to go at 1pm.
