Crews called to derelict flat fire in Biggin Street, Dover

A blaze at a derelict flat is being treated as a suspected arson attack.

Fire crews were called to the empty apartment, above a shop, in Biggin Street, Dover just before 9pm last night.

Five engines were sent to the town centre road, and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames.

No injuries were reported, and it’s believed the fire was started deliberately.

Crews left the scene at 10.20pm.
