Suspect in court following Dover burglaries

A suspected burglar has appeared in court after numerous items - such as tools, a TV, copper piping and a camera - were stolen from Dover.

Miroslav Jano was charged with three counts of burglary and one of theft following an investigation by East Kent Criminal Investigation Department.

The 33-year-old appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday) and was remanded in custody to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, June 13.

Mr Jano, of Folkestone Road, Dover, is charged with

• Stealing copper piping and tools from a property in Victoria Park, Dover between Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April1.

• The theft of medals, tools and plumbing parts which were taken from sheds in Durham Close, Dover between Thursday, March 31and Tuesday. April 5.

• Stealing a large number of items, including a TV, a wallet, camera and tripod, from a property in Flying Horse Lane, Dover on Tuesday, April 12.

• Stealing electrical goods, tools and other items from a property in Whitfield, Dover on Monday, May 9.
