Two men from London and a woman in drugs swoop and suspected cuckooing case in Folkestone Road, Dover

Police have arrested three people in connection with drug supply in a suspected cuckooing case.

This is where someone uses a property against the will of the resident, usually for drug dealing.

Two men aged 22 and a woman of 31 were detained by officers from the Community Policing Team on Tuesday.

They were arrested at a flat in Folkestone Road after officers had information to suggest there was drug activity taking place.

The officers, assisted by the Local Policing Team, found a large sum of money at the property.

All three suspects were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

The two men from London have been released on bail pending further enquiries until Tuesday, October 16.

The woman has been recalled to prison for breaching conditions of a licence.

Sgt Simon Drew from the CPT said: ‘The information we had suggested the property was being used against the will of the resident. This is called cuckooing and we take reports of this activity extremely seriously.

"It is a priority for us at Kent Police to protect vulnerable people and disrupt those involved in the supply of drugs.

"Residents are reminded to report any suspicious activity straight away by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.

"Information around drug supply, no matter how small, can help us build a bigger picture and ensure offenders are prosecuted."
