Dover teenager clipped by car wing mirror in Tower Hill

A Dover mother is warning people to be aware of speeding vehicles after her daughter was clipped by a car’s wing mirror.

It happened in Tower Hill at about 5.15pm yesterday, where 15-year-old Leanne Miller was leaving her aunt’s house.

As she stepped onto the pavement, a car, believed to be a silver Lexus, caught her elbow.

It caused the plastic wing mirror casing to fall off into the road.

Her mother Vanessa Ralph, of Johanneaburg Road, said: “She was on a path when this happened and Priory Fields is so close.

“It could have been worse but I’d like the driver to come forward.

“A few cms more and she would have been hit full body.

“The shock has hit her bad.”

Her daughter’s elbow is sore and badly bruised.
