It was rumoured that the cast stayed in the Premier Inn hotel in Marine Parade the night before filming took place at the port.

The episode was a festive add-on following the end of series 13 on November 16.

The show saw the Essex group take part in wine and cheese tasting, a typical French stereotype, and hang out in a country-styled manor house.
