Two people airlifted to hospital after accidents in Shepherdswell and St Margaret's

Two people were airlifted to hospital after separate incidents in Shepherdswell and St Margaret's yesterday.

A woman was taken to King's College Hospital in London wth head injuries after she was thrown from a horse in St Margaret’s-at-Cliffe on Tuesday, March 8.

The air ambulance landed in a nearby field at around 1.10pm and attended at the equestrian centre in Nelson Park Road.

Land ambulance and police crews were also on the scene.

A spokesman for SECAmb said: "She suffered head injuries. She was fully conscious, just dazed and suffering back pain as well."

Also yesterday a man was flown to hospital after an accidental fall in Shepherdswell.

The man suffered head, thorax, abdomen and hand injuries and was taken by air to King’s College Hospital in London at around 3.05pm.

The air ambulance landed in a nearby field and land ambulance staff were also on the scene.
