THE body of a woman was recovered today from the rocks below the cliffs at Dover.

Members of the Dover lifeboat crew were called out just before 9am following a report of a body in the water off the Eastern Docks.

A search was carried out and the body was found on rocks near the Eastern Arm. It was as recovered by police.

It is thought the woman was in her 20s. A post mortem examination is to be carried out.

The coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held.
