Two pupils from Dover Federation for the Arts starred in front of the Queen in the Royal Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Lacey Martin, nine, from White Cliffs Primary College for the Arts and 10-year-old Reece Allen from Barton Junior School took part in the televised show on Saturday night to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for our country.

They had been selected as the youngest children ever to appear in the show after the producer, Tim Marshall, was guest of honour at the federation speech day in the town hall.

He was so impressed by the youngsters, he said he wanted them to represent the youth of Britain.

Both Lacey and Reece and their families stayed in a top London hotel for two nights. Rehearsals took place on Friday and there were two performances on Saturday.
