KM Football Podcast 28 - Andy Hessenthaler

Dover completed the Great Escape on Saturday and boss Andy Hessenthaler has told us the story of their path to National League survival.

Whites had just seven points from 15 games when Hessenthaler took charge in October and he was tasked with transforming things both on and off the field.

He oversaw the switch to full-time training, completed the job with a dramatic win at Barrow and told us what he hopes the future holds at Crabble.

Hessenthaler also takes a trip down memory lane on the podcast, looking back at his legendary 10-year spell at Gillingham as both a player and manager.

Find out which of his former chairmen attacked him on the pitch and how close he came to joining a different Kent club earlier this season.
