Tram Road, Folkestone: Woman confirmed dead after 'medical incident'

A woman has been found dead at a house, police have confirmed.

The tragic news comes after a huge emergency presence descended on a street in Folkestone yesterday.

Police officers joined paramedics at the scene in London Place, off Tram Road, following reports of a 'medical incident'.

The air ambulance also attended, while forensic officers were called to the property.

Today, a police spokesman said a woman had been confirmed dead at the scene.

He added: "Police were called to assist South East Coast Ambulance Service at a property in London Place, Folkestone at 1.40pm on Thursday.

"Officers attended and a woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
