Gravesend moved up to fifth place in National 3 London & South East - the highest in their 125-year history - with a 14-13 win over Bracknell.

The hosts struck first with Dave Dorton’s penalty, and they captialised on a sin-binning for Bracknell’s Rudai Alano with two more Dorton kicks to lead 9-0 at the break.

Bracknell opened the second-half scoring with a penalty by Ben Novak, and his second kick, after 58 minutes, reduced Gravesend’s lead to just three points.

Dorton gave the hosts some breathing space with a try after good work by the home pack, but Bracknell ensured a tight finish with a converted score.
