Emergency services responded to a medical incident in a town centre.
Eyewitnesses outside The Robert Pocock in Windmill Street, Gravesend, saw police as well as the fire and the ambulance service just before 3pm.
The road was reportedly closed following the incident.
Police spokesman Martin Very said: "Kent Police was called at 2.47pm regarding a medical incident.
"Officers attended the scene where they assisted the South East Coast Ambulance Service."
It is believed a man in his 80s had suffered a heart attack, but this has not yet been confirmed by the authorities.
